Determination of Yatein from the Plants of Cupressaceae Family by HPLC

Abstract

|
An efficient assay method was developed to determine the level of yatein from the plants belonged to Cupressaceae family. The conditions for the determination by high performance liquid chromatography were reversed phase Delta Pak C₄column as stationary phase, 32% acetonitrile as mobile phase and detection at UV 280 nm. The yatein concentration in Juniperus genus was higher than Thuja or Chamaecyparis genus. Juniperus chinensis showed the highest yatein content among the tested plants.
